Founder of the Italian company Ferrari.

Enzo Ferrari was an Italian racing car driver and founder of the Italian company Ferrari.
Born in 1898 in Modena, Italy, he started as a race car driver for Alfa Romeo.
He began racing in 1910 and won his first race in 1914. He then went on to win seven Grand Prix races before World War I broke out.
When the war ended, he joined forces with Alfa Romeo's chief designer Vittorio Jano and other racing drivers to form a new company called Scuderia Ferrari.
This company created race cars for drivers like Tazio Nuvolari and Alberto Ascari.
Ferrari also competed in motorboat racing during this period, as well as car races such as the Mille Miglia—a race that took place over 1,000 miles from Brescia to Rome (and back again) every year between 1927 and 1957—and the Targa Florio— an open road circuit race held on Sicily's mountainous roads since 1906 until 1973 when it was canceled due to safety concerns after three fatal accidents occurred within two years (one of which was caused by Enzo himself).
One of Enzo's greatest feats was winning the 24 hours of Le Man's endurance
